Description: The City of Fontana is currently experiencing a substantial amount of growth in the development community. The rapid growth has created the need for construction of new “vertical” infrastructure at a very fast pace. Typical “vertical” projects to be expected under this solicitation would include parking structures, office buildings, fire stations and other municipal buildings. In order to meet the demands of the community and the City in meeting these goals, the City needs the assistance of qualified consultant firms for project and construction management of these much needed projects. The City of Fontana is issuing this Request for Qualifications to short list qualified firms who are licensed to practice in the State of California in their area of expertise and be readily available to perform engineering design tasks based on the City’s needs. The City of Fontana will select consultant firms based on their qualified expertise to perform Engineering Services in their specialized fields. The Consultant shall demonstrate an extensive understanding and vast experience with various “vertical” projects and alternate delivery methods (i.e. Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, etc.) as applicable to each expertise. The projects selected by the City’s project administrator may have more than one consultant firm assigned to the project. This will depend on the size and the needs of the project. The qualifications included in the SOQ shall be based on the various engineering fields as listed in the scope of services.
