The City of Durham (the “City”) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for Community Partner services to provide a comprehensive community outreach and engagement strategy to identify community issues and priorities to be incorporated into the City Department of Transportation’s (“Transportation”) study of the Durham Freeway (NC-147). Respondents are expected to have unique linkages to historic Durham communities, including direct work experience with community leaders, groups, and organizations in the Hayti Historic District, Fayetteville Street, and Historic East and West Durham. The successful Community Partner will work alongside Transportation project managers to develop the technical study including providing input on scope development; participating in vendor selection; and leading community engagement efforts throughout the life of the project.
