Cecil Airport Approach Road and Utility Corridor Extension

Description

This project includes the extension of the Approach Road and Utility Corridor on the east side of Cecil Airport. The proposed construction limits begin approximately 2,300 LF south of 103rd Street and continue south approximately 8,100 LF to the Spaceport Development Area. The first 3,900 LF of the project consists of a reconstruction of the existing approach road to include a 24’ wide roadway, stormwater ditching, erosion control, landscaping, irrigation, and sidewalk. Utilities in this area were previously installed in 2018 from 103rd Street to the existing maintenance facility / pump station. The remaining 4,200 LF of 24’ wide roadway will consist of new construction of a roadway within a proposed 85’ right of way (ROW), stormwater infrastructure, ditching, erosion control, and the extension of the utility corridor down to the Spaceport Development area. The utility corridor extension includes a 16” watermain, 4” force main, 10” gravity sewer, underground electrical and the installation of a new pump station.
