ARCHITECTURE/ENGINEERING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR A FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR REPLACING THE VIRGINIA TECH RESCUE SQUAD FACILITY

A/E services for this Feasibility Study includes, but not be limited to: The successful offeror will assist the university with quantifying, documenting, and prioritizing facility needs to support the operations of VTRS, including ambulance and related emergency services for the Virginia Tech main campus. This scope of work includes the development of a preferred building program to support the university seeking funding for a future capital project. As part of developing the building program, the A/E team will develop recommendations on appropriate best practices, including space metrics and space needs, to ensure the highest and best use of resources. In addition, to developing a preferred building program, this project will develop location and siting requirements for a future facility and explore site analysis and test fit investigation for future building locations. Test fit analysis will include blocking and massing studies, as well as cost analysis. The successful offeror will need to consider squad member access to academic buildings and analyze locations with adequate squad member access, as well as ingress and egress to the facility for responses
